Franklin Asare – Chief Executive Officer Franklin Asare is currently the Chief Executive Officer of TechGulf Ghana Limited. Franklin was appointed in September 2020 to lead continental operations for TechGulf LLC, an IT firm headquartered in San Francisco. Franklin joined the company from Oracle Corporation where he was the Country Director of the subsidiary in Ghana. Franklin has brought 25 years ICT experience to the board and is contributing to business revenue through leadership. He is a proven, trusted professional who advises and interacts with CEOs, Business Leaders and Government officials. He is a leader with a clear foresight for the growth of African companies through IT transformation. Franklin is passion driven to provide the tools and techniques for organizations of all sizes to establish a vision and roadmap for world-class enterprise performance improvement and effective execution of their strategies. Franklin introduced the unique start-up acceleration program, Ghana Oracle Enterprise Digital Program, putting Oracle’s vast technology and business resources behind emerging businesses in Ghana to help them scale and succeed. It is his vision that this initiative will be a game-changer for Ghana’s digital advancement and economic growth. Franklin is the AmCham IT Committee Chairman. In 2019, he was adjudged the ICT Professional of the year by a panel of eminent judges and subsequently presented an award by the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He is the Chairman of Hacklab Foundation, a not-for-profit organization in Ghana, focused on preparing the youth for future jobs by helping them develop vital technology skills. Franklin is an alumnus of Manchester Business School; a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants; Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana; and Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). Franklin is deeply passionate about Africa and Ghana especially as his home nation. His great desire is to see lasting digital transformation across the continent that touches the lives of every individual. Through the Hacklab initiative, Franklin supervises work to see the next generation of entrepreneurs and African technology leaders are born and nurtured. His work on start-up accelerators targeted the private sector to ensure there is a continuous cycle of African tech products and initiatives entering the market. He acts as a mentor and friend to many African tech leaders in order to give back from the wealth of experience he has gained and see others attain greater heights in the technology sector. His dream is to see a global tech industry led by Africans and most importantly building solutions that originate from and benefit those in the global south.
